To my Trapperman family, I offer heartfelt Christmas greetings and hope your day is filled with joy and blessings.
What was your favorite gift received today, if I may ask? I was overwhelmed with gifts this year, but what touched my heart the most were the Bibles inherited through my husband's family, symbolizing my renewed spiritual journey.

just being with family today.

my family shrank this year with the death of my wife.

while we are officially having our Christmas gathering at my brothers Saturday , my parents were going to be just them and my 2 MKE kids are closer to my parents house than my own by about 45 minutes , so MKE kids , my parents and I had a Christmas lunch.

My son who lives with me was at his girlfriends family for the day.

I call them my MKE kids as MKE is the air port designation for Milwaukee WI , they live in Milwaukee, they are my oldest and youngest they live together one is an art teacher and the other a culinary student in pastry.

so yes the Cake today was excellent , chocolate gnash in place of frosting.

I made a pork roast with Red wine gravy.
I cleared the menu with my mother , my dad heard gravy and didn't hear red wine , so he thought he was getting brown gravy , and not one with vegetables in it
Dad's primary vegetable is corn so he did his best to eat around the peppers.
he kept saying he was broadening his vegetables but red peppers on his meat might have been a bit to far. I think he meant he had a salad with a cucumber in it.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Very nice. I got D batteries to restock my trail camera supply closet. LOL I get alot of enjoyment out of running my trail cameras year round. Its kind of like trapping in away..... never know what the might picture might catch. I am on a kick to rid myself of alot of misc. stuff that I have collected over the years and I am really just tired of clutter. I asked for no more clutter gifts.

Spending time with all the family is a gift in itself with the rat race of the world we live in.

I have a love/hate relationship with my Christmas bonus. Its literally the only thing I like about the holiday and I kinda hate that. Also for years I just saw it as a glorious paid day off. Which sometimes is a rare treat.

Gifts given to others were my best gift this year, and most others.

We got a nice large framed picture of our 3 granddaughters walking together in a nice park. We hung that one up today in our new condo! Two are freshman in college and one is a freshman in HS.

My favorite was a 12 pack of new socks. If I was a rich man I'd wear a new pair of socks every day. Lol

That I am still alive, and next to favorite is a Philadelphia Eagle sweatshirt.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Time with family

Kids and grandkids are great but the time with parents is slipping away

Kristen, family Bibles are a treasure

It's not what I got but what I gave. My 2 grandsons each received one of my Purple Hearts. The youngest who is more into that type of thing and more so understands the meanings of them also received my Bronze Star. They each got a copy of my DD213 which shows that I did get them.

Wow! That looks incredible! I fried the turkey and made homemade mac & cheese!

My husband feels the same way about his bonus.
