Did some ADC work on a place here in southern Oregon for a guy that has had some muskrat problems. I took 51 rats out in a couple weeks and had been dumping the carcasses on the property for the raptors. One spot I dumped had fresh beaver sign coming out of a canal next to an enormous willow. The landowner was very proud of that tree, so next check I brought a drowning bar and a TS-85, along with a little homemade castor lure.
Next day there was a huge beaver waiting for me. Literally waiting. The drowner had gotten hung up, and there was this giant head looking at me. I knew it was big, but when it tried to dive and I saw what turned out to be a 13"x8" tail, I knew I had my hands full!
It took me a while to get the better of it, with me on one end of a 10' piece of 1/2" rebar, and a 70#+ beaver on the other, but eventually won the battle.
It squared 82", 45" X37".

Feet were huge as well.

Why aren't you using the rats to trap other critters?
