Recently became Debt free and have been going on a bit of a spending splurge... Where's the best place to buy and sell used guns? Armslist sucks now, Auctions still good locally but would rather sell some rifles privately as well as buy a few things if I can find them.

I havemt sold on there, but Gunbroker has been good to buy on.

Was hoping local, is there a way to narrow down gunbroker to local deals only? I'll go try that.

Between the FFL and shipping most gunbroker deals add $60 to $100.

We used to be able to sell guns and ammo in the trap shed here until there were shortages and such, and BS started flying here and Paul shut it down. I wish that hadn't happened.

The gun marked is slowing down right now, at least on rifles. If your patient you can find some good deals on GunBroker.com. I dont do a lot of gun shopping in person put do look when I'm in stores and dont see the deals there. Few years ago I bought a used gun that had hardly if ever been shot. Custom gun that would have been north of 4000 to built and I bought it for less than the scope retailed for. I've bought guns on there that were well worth the shipping and FFL fees. Last gun I bought on there my FFL offered me a pretty good profit on it. Im guessing the market will get even softer by summer.

Try selling some them privately. Find a local auction house that has online auctions. There is a few ways you can go about it.

Many years ago I bought a Mark V .300 weatherby with a Leupold VX3 on it for $600 on the trap shed, its still my go to big game rifle and likely always will be. Some rich guy from the Metro posted it and I jumped on it, if he's still on here, Thanks Man!

Used guns are bought and sold by word of mouth, friend of a friend, family member etc

That is another option down here but prices can be above avg

We have a few gun shows within 100 miles or so around here. The prices do run on the high side inside but the best deals are out in the parking lot. Our local farm newspaper has a lot of auctions that have guns along with farm equipment. If you feel it's worth standing around for awhile some nice ones can be bought.

I sold some at the local flea market. Our police chief bought one. Things are different in rural America. LOL

Selling rifles and shotguns isn't a big deal. Depending on where you live (like MN) handguns and black guns are what will get you jammed up real fast.

Not many gun laws in KS. Buying selling private sales is legal. Finding sellers and buyers takes a little effort. Face book and craigslist won't allow it. Pawn shops are good. Sometimes.

I quit worrying about instacheck beyond not understanding how its legal. If you ever joined a club with a shooting range, bought a hunting license, bought a trapping license, used a credit or debit card for something gun related, you are definitely on the gun owner registry. Now the folks you should fear, that buy stolen guns from their local drug dealer, who use them only to commit crimes or protect criminal enterprise, those folks are under the radar.

This, but dont go there an hour before closing to pick it up.They seem to have trouble getting the nics done in a timely manner.

I have sold on arms list and bought parts off gun broker( stock for youngest. 22 most recently).

I dont sell much last few times I sold were ar's I bought cheap on sale I didn't want but they were cheap. Figured maybe the kids would use them. Then a panic hit and I made 100% profit on one and 40% on the 2nd.

Both rifles i meet them locally in a parking lot to sell.
