Asked the lady I buy my quail and rabbits from if she wouldn't mind me coming by and getting a few buckets worth of the poop from under the cages for our compost pile yesterday when I got out new does and she was beyond happy to let me . Said I'd be doing her a favor more then anything. She's in her 70's and can't get sound like she used to and her usual help has been a little spotty apparently.Well came by today to get a few buckets full and end up helping her kill and process a few of her rabbits along with some other farm chores . Told her that a lot of folks would pay good money to get the lil education she gave me and that really seemed to make her day even got some free worms out the deal they where THICK under those cages . End up with two buckets and like 10 feed bags worth








Good way to spend two hours of you ask me saved probably a good $150 on fertilizer and on the education especially on the in and out of rabbit butching for sale

Your right. It was a win, win for both of you. That plus it was super nice of you to stay and help out. There's a lot of older folks out there with a wealth of knowledge more then willing to pass on. I bet that made her day brighter also.

I've seen local adds asking a $1.00 a pound for rabbit manure and $2.00 a pound for worm castings. I doubt they get many large scale takers at those prices, but I'm sure they sell some.

I gave my mom 120 gallons of rabbit manure for Christmas on Saturday. It covered about half of her vegetable garden a few inches thick. I'll take another full load soon and till it in, in late April. That's not all I gave her. I did have fun telling my siblings "They didn't give mom crap for Christmas." and "I gave mom crap for Christmas."



I've mined out many thousands pounds of manure the last few weeks for gardening and my nursery business, both rabbit and poultry. I'll take some pictures of the system tomorrow.

Thanks Carl. My mother has a little under 3 acres and has it entirely landscaped, mostly with flowers trees and bushes. Around 60 trees and bushes and hundreds of flowers, counting bulbs, came from me. When the weather is even marginally decent, she works for hours on it a day. Her vegetable garden is relatively small compared to the flower beds. The largest flower bed runs across the entire back of her yard. It's beautiful.

Well it's been a decent little hike since I processed a rabbit so I thought " haaayyyyy good time to get some practice on lol" also a lot of the older people in my general area are .....not like a lot of y'all or her so I like to try and enjoy it when I mean a nice one you know... She's also just really nice to talk to

Can't wait to see ! Actually saw a cool deal where a guy had a hand turned conveyor belt under his cages , would just crank it a dozen times or so and all the dropping would come to him and down into a feed sack SLICK
