We have them both here in Holmes county Ohio. There terrible. They were tearing the tar paper off of a roof on a new house being built. I found a nest on a old slab pile once. The baby's are real ugly. They only leave when it gets real cold. A little warm up and there right back.

Generally we don't see any turkey buzzards until late Spring and they are local until late fall. They usually migrate before cold weather sets in..

It's the opposite here in southeast PA Bob. We have a year-round good-sized population of non-migratory black buzzards. They can be seen gliding the thermals almost any day.

I rarely see turkey vultures, usually only in fall. My home is under the Appalachian flyway and close to the Hawk Mountain Sanctuary so I get to see a lot of raptors during the migration that I don't see at other times of the year.

We don't have them here, never had turkey vultures either till about 10 years ago a few showed up, they stay the winter now. Never in big numbers but you can see them regularly....

I was told by the landowner I trap on to shoot any I see. I haven’t seen any to date and hope not to. We do have a golden eagle frequent the area but haven’t lost any trapped animal to it yet. They dwarf our local white headed variety.

Plenty of them around here. Usually in single digit numbers but sometimes in flocks of 20-30. They clean up the road kill pretty fast.

No shortage of them here. We have a cell tower close by that they fly to every evening to roost.

They often roost in transmission towers around here. I've seen a couple dozen on them during the day.
