My go to is a pre-64 Win M70 in 30-06.

Once and a while I'll grab the old Marlin 336 in .35 Rem for old time's sake. My dad killed his first buck swith it, I killed my first buck with it, my daughter killed her first buck with it and we're trying to get my granddaughter to kill her first buck with it.

If I'm hunting thick stuff, I tote a rifle with a 44 or 45 caliber hole in the end of the barrel 99% of the time.

If I'm hunting out in the open, my Weatherby 240 Magnum is one of my favorites.

30/06, 180gr core-loc. May be a little overkill, but don't remember the last one that I lost.

I try to hunt with a different rifle each day. Some calibers I like better than others but some favorites that I use are 7mm-08, 7x57, 280 and 300 H&H.

Savage 99 in 358 Winchester ore a Begara in 7mm 08

I've killed them with around 20 different chambering. The two I use most are the 30-30 and the 270. Im a big fan of the 348 Winchester and the 300 H&H if I feel like I want a little more oomph.

Killed many Whitetails (lost count) with a Remington Model 600 shooting factory load Core-Lokt 100 grain. Have now switched to hunting brushier country so considering .308.

I like my Thompson Center Venture in 270. Bought it used with a muzzle brake on it which I know helps. Before that I used a 303 British which I really do like that gun as well. Most of my deer have been shot with that. I'm getting low on the reloads for that so I made a switch. The guy that reloaded for me is not in good health and I don't think he can do it any longer.

One came into the bait pile before dark. I was so surprised that I nearly spilled my beer while I was rolling the window down.
