I been noticing a lot of robins this year. A lot of winter I see them all winter and in some bad winters. I believe they have changed there patterns here. I do have a lot of heavy cover and a lot of trees. There must be enough food in dead of winter for them to stay around.

Anyone else in the north country notice them during the winter.

Give me a fish, I will eat for a day. Teach me to fish, I will eat for a lifetime

YES! The things never leave and gorge themselves on the apples I planted for the grouse. Sometimes in October there will be 500-1,000 of them around the house just gorging on apples. By this time of the year, most of the apples are gone and the grouse don't get to benefit from them. BTW, Robin tastes better than Eagle or loon.

I have nothing clever to put here.

They must change migration routes. About 3 years ago we had them here by the millions during winter

They eat juniper berries ( gin ) and crap all over everything......like a horror movie...lol

Is it better or worse than spotted owl, California condor and ivory billed woodpecker, which has been admittedly a little scarce lately?
