It's been harder for me to stand up from the floor without something to grab on to. I got the idea from when I was putting wood in the stove. Just that extra boost really helps. Here's a short video and some pictures, Let me know what you think. I call it the Assistant, two sizes 1" x 12" and 2" x 12" Made from Delrin, very tough stuff [Linked Image]

You would do well to just use the one with the wider base! Easier on the hands! Very clever, sir!!

What are you getting for them.

I'm interested in one of the 2" diameter "Assistants"

Real good idea. I keep a fold up chair by my wood burner. Makes it easy starting the fire and adding wood when needed. If I have to lay down outside, working on the mowers or anything I have a 5 gallon bucket that makes it a lot easier getting back up. At 77 years old one has to plan everything you do.

I'll keep that in mind in case something happens to my squaw.
She's part Cherokee and she is the meanest you-know-what whoever did you-no-what for beads. Strong back though,
She goes by "Two Slaps", but only once, to her face. When she gets mad, all of a sudden you end up with two red marks on you and you don't know where they came from.

Looks good, but what do you do for your other hand, lol
I usually crawl to the nearest chair, bucket or other strong vertical object, lol a cane works too...but got to hand it to you, it's better than laying on the floor waiting for someone to help...

I am 47 but got busted up in an accident , I kept my fishing bucket in the kitchen near the fridge with the swivel top seat it is just a 360 degree silent swivel hunting bucket top on a 7 gallon Cabela's bucket so it is "comfort height"
I don't need it like I did after the accident but it is still there for now , it was in front of the wood stove but I haven't hauled wood since the accident either , had to wait for things to heal up before lifting anything heavy.

I had the fishing bucket because it lets me sit in the bow of my john boat and operate my foot control trolling motor well and swivel and fish

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

MTtraps, I used my hammer today in the same manner, and thought of you as I did it.
