I have 3 primary calibers I am going to suppress. 300 WM, 270 WSM, and 22-250. I recently shot a 300 with a Scythe Ti and was happy with the decibel level. However, after a little internet research I found complaints and enough failures to have me concerned. MNost of the guys on here are pretty straight up about things, so I trust the opinions here Vs most of the Googly stuff I found.

Additionally, it was suggested to me to get a caliber specific end cap for each caliber I am using. 22cal for the 250, 270 cal for the 270WSM and so on. As I browse through the abundant amount of sites, I see very few caliber options. Typically 9mm, 223, and 30.

So my questions are 1. What brand/model are you most satisfied with and is it a caliber specific can/end cap?

I only have one center fire suppressor so far, so you can take this with a grain of salt, but currently I have Diligent Defense Enticer S Ti. The family and I love it and plan to get another one soon. Really close to the Deadair Nomad in specs and sound, but 2/3 the price. As far as end caps go, I ain’t swapping out end caps until I have enough suppressors that each rifle has a dedicated can. I don’t wanna shove a 30 cal through a 6mm cap because I had a brain fart.

In my opinion the cap might save you a couple decibels, not worth the chance of blowing the end out of one. I also suggest that if this is something you might get into, think about the mounts. And what I mean by that is quick attach mounts are expensive and stick to one brand that you can use different cans on rifles that take the same mount. Kind of like buying battery tools stick with the same battery platform. And one your first one error on the side of being able to use it on multiple firearms. My first pistol can I bought a 9MM can because that is all I had at the time. Well now i have 10mm and 45 ACP so now I need to get another can. And the rimfire cans are my favorite. Raccoon calling and squirrel hunting suppressed is just a lot more fun

Have 2 Deadair Nomads that I am happy with

Not worth the time and effort for me to change end caps for the gain
I shoot the DA on 223/5.56, 300 BO, 6.8, 308

I have 2 rimfire cans that are rated for everything I own rimfire

Quick mount is something to consider, currently if I put a Nomad on 300BO I will have to change rear cap to shoot it on the 5.56.

Would be nice to twist it off of one and right on the other with the quick mount

I didn't state it earlier, dedicated cans to the rifle. I'm not messing around with swapping stuff.

3 of my 5 are old enough they no longer make the models.

I host a silincer shoot/metering event now a d then so have got to be around a lot of them.

Coustmer service is important, decibel #s can be manipulated and the lowest one on the meter may not sound the quietest at your ears. Low pitch and tone will sound quieter to our ears but might spike the meters a little higher.

Length, weight, materials, and mount type all effect cost. Mounts add up fast.

Cal specific end caps are just asking for us to make a mistake and blow a larger round through them. Shooting smaller calls through my 30 cal or my 358 can makes little noticeable difference. Typically the larger cans are longer so have more volume and it off sets the larger hole.

Im more of a dedicated can to the gun guy and working on building up to that.

I have a couple Dead-Air Sandman and use the 30cal end cap and they are currently on a 5.56 AR/thermal setup. The other is on a bolt gun in 6ARC. I have mounting systems on several others that I can swap out quickly

I'm at 7 cans now, all of mine are dedicated to a certain rifle. I have the Banish 30 on two guns, .22-250 and a .30-06 and 2 Banish 5.56 on my ARs. Then I have three .22 cans, one on a pistol and one on . 10-22. I haven't decided what I'm going to put my third .22 can on yet.

I have several brands, "TBAC" Thunder Beast makes great suppressors and are superior for improved down range accuracy. No hearing protection required.
"Off Grid" is a new one that is 3 D printed and seeem to be quiter than manufactured cans. Not sure about their accuracy improvements.

It does well enough. It is safe to shoot without plugs. It maybe the ultimate youth rifle.

I went with a resilient rambling man 46 then bought the direct thread end caps for 5/8-24 and 1/2-28

so far have run it on 45-70 , 9mm and 223

so not the most efficient can for the smaller calibers but 223 is supersonic and will crack no matter what.

the 9mm AR was hearing safe , they were 147gr so they were sub sonics and 100 yards away on a windy day you could not even hear the person shooting over the truck running. had to shut off the truck and step out of it to hear my son shooting 100 yards away.
it was a cold day and I was wearing a walking boot so not moving a lot and socked toes exposed to the cold so I didn't stay outside too long.

I need to work up a sub sonic load for the 45-70 yet but it should be as quiet or more quiet than 9mm as it will have a locked breach and fill the bore of the suppressor

the recommendation is you put the can on the scale when you get it , then write down your weight in grams that way you know when it is time to clean because it has gained weight

What's everyones favorite .30 cal suppressor for a hunting rifle? More of a western style hunting then a stand hunting style? Bonus if its gray or silverish.

Scythe Ti went with the Rearden direct thread, on the mounting, to work with my 9/16”x24” barrel threading. 30 cal cap. It’s permanent on my 30-06 super Fudd rifle. Sick ‘lil monkey.

Cerakoting is cheap, these days. My rig is done up dark.
