Sounds good on hunting and fishing but I didn't see trapping mentioned at all. Opening refuges to trapping predators and nest raiders should be a no brainer.

As it stands, it’s a draw proposition only for rifle elk. But there’s tons of other great game there that shouldn’t require a big game draw permit. I’m referring to Wichita Mountain refuge.

trapping is generally (not always) included with hunting for administrative purposes.

but even if it's not in this case, Sportsmen should be THRILLED about this development.

it didn't happen under the previous administration, and it wouldn't have happened under a Harris/Waltz administration.

Pond creek NWR next to me has been open for hunting ever since it became a refuge. Also open to trapping with a special use permit.
