Cry me a river! Fairbanks is coming off a bit of brisk temperatures. Thirty-two consecutive days of below 0 degrees. Global Warming is a distant memory!

Now the polar bears are freezing

2 degrees and dropping, snowing, wind 25-35 with gusts over 50. I saw another thing that said winds to 80 mph, that is over 50. But the snow will stop about noon and the wind Saturday morning about light. But it is winter.

Yep the wind is what is the worst part. We don't have a lot of snow but when we do get snow we get 50 mph wind. All the snow is in the fence rows or wooded edges. Hard to make any sets work when your at them all the time cleaning them up.

Winter has finally arrived here with a vengeance. it’s going to stick around for a while it looks like as long as there’s no ice it won’t screw up all of my cat sets. Another batch of waxed dirt is in the making.

We had five weeks of colder than normal with much more snow than usual. Then this past week we had temperatures in the 40's Fahrenheit, right up to 49, smashing ancient provincial records all over the province. We were greeted yesterday with nice winds in the 75 mph range all day, bringing back temps around 0 today. A nice near 50 degree Fahrenheit change in a day.
