Went to switch to a bigger pot for my trap wax … so I heated up on high and dumped out what was melted put back on burner to melt the rest off the sides of old pan and it started smoking … the wax has cooled and does have a burnt Smokey smell… is it still okay to use ot do I need to dump 7# of wax out and start new?? Will they be fine?

Ever heard of the "Campfire set"? Or setting in a fire zone? Burnt smell is an attractant. BUT, you might get rolling and digging.

Chuck it.

Probably need a new container too.

That burnt wax smell is extremely difficult to get rid of.

Agree 100%

As far as burn odors being attractive to canines . . . I have made a set, lightly covered it with hay or straw and lit it a fire.
