The new NY FHA agent , Ernest Mosher , picked up fur in my area yesterday. There were more trappers there than Ive seen in a decade. For the past several years there were 4-5 trappers at my local pick up area. Yesterday there were at least 10 when I left and more pulling in.
His u-haul trailer had a large amount fur in it.

Was at J & K in Michigan today dropping off my 3 bags of fur, Ralph said this is the least amount of fur he's ever had for Fur Harvesters

I met Ernie and Dawn on the 10th.
Nice people, a big burly man.
It was down pouring rain and I had business up the road from the pick up spot.
He was there 45 minutes early and so was i. So sadly I didn't get to see any other trappers.
Glad they stepped into Toby's route.

I also met Ernie yesterday and asked what Toby passed from. Apparently it was complications from diabetes. I'll miss him. He was a great guy.

I too was not able to do any visiting with fellow trappers. The downside was Ernie changed Toby’s pick up location, and unfortunately it is also a parking place for snowmobilers to park their trucks and trailers . It was pretty hectic and crowded, limited parking.
