Hello. Daughter starts an internship for this semester in Richmond on Monday. Looking at the weather this weekend is supposed to be a huge snow (14-22"). Wife is going to drive out there with her. They were going to leave Saturday but are now looking at driving Thursday and Friday to beat it. Seeing what the locals are hearing about the snow.? Thank you for your time.

VA weather is VERY unpredictable. The snow / ice / rain line often falls around Richmond give or take 20-30 miles N & S. I can also tell you that’s it’s been a LONG time since we’ve seen double digit accumulations.

I put very little stock into any weather reports, especially for big snows until we get 2 or 3 days out. I am South of Richmond by 25 miles. Feel free to PM me as the week moves forward and I can give you local updates.

Also, my local go to for weather is WWBT12 Richmond. I would check that out. Latest reports are for snow, but they are saying it’s too early to even consider accumulation.
