I have had one box of them. Very inconsistent from shot to shot in report and recoil. I actually saw the shot in the air twice. I never stuck a wad, but I was worried about it. I wont buy them again. But i may have just been unlucky, and gotten a box from a bad lot.

Mark what is your main use for the 410 ? I am considering one for the Missus as the birds are damaging her favirite tree .The 22 bird shot only sickens them . I always wanted one of the Mossberg pumps .It is about 15 yds to the tree from the porch ,might not damage the tree too much if she holds a little off ?

Back before steel shot, I shot limits of mallards and geese with my 410. I carried it hunting pheasants, sharp tails, huns, Mt grouse and sage hens. I even shot a swan with it. I shot a lot of skeet with it. Now the grandkids shot it more then I do. At 15 yards it will be hard on the tree and branches. I would get a pellet gun. A gas piston is a good step up from a springer break barrel and not that much more money. I head shoot my .22 gas piston in the yard and it is way more yard friendly then a shot gun or 22 LR. I am in the country and can shoot what ever I want off the porch, but I grab the pellet rifle for small stuff. I am thinking about getting a .25 PCP pellet rifle.

Ok maybe I'll order some. 410 are hard to find around here and when you do they're on the pricey side about .80 cents to a buck a round. I always used 3" 4 or 6 shot for squirrel hunting.

My shells came yesterday evening. I got a e-mail saying they were running a day behind due to weather on Monday.

Do they still make the shorter version than the 3 inch?

Stop giving them free benefits and they will deport themselves.

The 2 1/2” #4’s are my favorite for running rabbits. The 4s pass through taking that little wad of hair with them so no picking out shot or wads of hairs from the meat. The 4s have more energy to pass through. Smaller shot often stays in the meat. Mine are Winchester brand but I’ve seen it in other brands too. 3” #4s are a good choice but have a few more shot so they can tear up the bunny if you don’t lead him quite far enough.
