Excellent 519 page volume of early trapping, deer, bear and cat hunting in the Backcountry of Wisconsin. Also chapters on homesteading 100 to 150 years ago, the early logging industry, vicious forest fires and back country life in the upper Midwest. This book is LOADED with VINTAGE PICTURES dating back 80 to 100 years ago. Excellent writing and first rate memoirs by many Wisconsin old-timers. Book is clean good condition.
