I'd be interested in what northern missouri coon is going for as compared to southern. just Quite a bit of difference in south Missouri Ozark type coon and the these farm country coon. Ozark coon have great color but lack size and the nap that our coon have. Just like there’s a big difference in coon between North Missouri and North Iowa. Unfortunately the price sucks on all of the above lol.

Trevor buys a lot of antler. Not much that he doesn’t deal in as far as wildlife related items. Thanks

Trevor was at our MTPCA fur sale this morning in Kalamazoo. Good guy. Bought quite a bit.

I have some info on the rat market and It's from a good source. Rats could reach the $5.00 mark sometime this year. So don't sell cheap.

$5 basis? I would like to see FHA sell out on the first sale, that would at least show some interest. Hopefully closer to 5 dollar averages. Fur is moving to China now prices need to increase.

$5 averages? Trevor buys some rats here, but not a lot. This isn’t super rat country. He buys a lot of beaver, otter, and cats here in today’s market.

I don’t have any rats, but I’d love to see $5 rats. I’m pretty skeptical of that though. Real skeptical honestly. A $4 average would bring a LOT of rats out of freezers.

Just talked to a trapper that has sold his rats.
3X $6.00
2X $5.00
XL $4.00
M $2.00
I don't know for sure, but I heard that FHA is holding back their rats till the later sale.
I can't divulge the buyer or the trapper.

I wouldn’t know why, after all it only takes a few minutes to NO SALE a hundred thousand rats. Arguably, This thing capitulated years ago when we couldn’t even get a bid. As stated before it can’t get much worse. I will admit, it would be exciting to see some interest

I don't understand why Downey won't just ask the buyers what the rats are worth. He can only say no. I have rats there going on 5 years,3X/2X good quality. The slights sold first thing. I spoke with the person who purchased them, he said they buy a good 3X rat for $2.50 and ship to Vietnam ,repair for 0.25 verses paying $6 for a good 3X.
