New and used traps and supplies will be available. If you have any traps or supplies that you’re needing, contact Trevor or I and we will make sure we have them there for you.
Game wardens will be on site tagging cats and otters.
We’ve been putting this event on for several years now. It’s become a mini trapping convention. We have lots of guys who come hang out for the day even if they don’t have any fur. Everyone is welcome.

Quite a bit of difference in south Missouri Ozark type coon and the these farm country coon. Ozark coon have great color but lack size and the nap that our coon have.
Just like there’s a big difference in coon between North Missouri and North Iowa.
Unfortunately the price sucks on all of the above lol.

I have some info on the rat market and It's from a good source. Rats could reach the $5.00 mark sometime this year. So don't sell cheap.

Trevor buys some rats here, but not a lot.
This isn’t super rat country. He buys a lot of beaver, otter, and cats here in today’s market.

I don’t have any rats, but I’d love to see $5 rats. I’m pretty skeptical of that though. Real skeptical honestly. A $4 average would bring a LOT of rats out of freezers.

I watched the rat auction, and it was literally 10 minutes! I don't understand why Downey won't just ask the buyers what the rats are worth. He can only say no. I have rats there going on 5 years,3X/2X good quality. The slights sold first thing. I spoke with the person who purchased them, he said they buy a good 3X rat for $2.50 and ship to Vietnam ,repair for 0.25 verses paying $6 for a good 3X.

Was very happy with the prices on the cats/otter/skunk. I hate that there really isn’t a coyote market for our critters, but came away smiling.

I want to thank everyone who showed up this weekend. The mud and the cool temperatures didn’t keep anyone home. I hope everyone had a great time. It was probably our best attended event since we started this several years ago. Trevor bought nonstop from 7:30 to 4:30. Lots of fur came through the door. 60 some trappers sold. Trevor will get me some numbers soon, but there was a tremendous amount of beaver, otter, and cats cross the table. Trevor spent 72k at my place this weekend, and had a stop in eastern Missouri to buy fur from two other fur buyers on his way home. I hope everyone enjoyed the food.

Same weekend next year and hopefully we will continue to see increased fur prices. The guys who have continued to trap deserve it.

Man it sure seemed like more than 60 sales. Was a great time and great prices with the market we've had to deal with . Hopefully the good Lord will let me have another few seasons.
