I have electric on demands. Not cheaper to use but you can put them anywhere you can get wire.

Quote
Folks who charge $5000 for a tankless heater are the same folks who charge $20,000 to shingle a 1200 square foot, 4/12 pitch roof rambler with three-tab asphalt roofing.

Maybe not the same folks since one is a plumber and one is a roofer, but the same kind of folks. I looked at what the unit alone cost and decided the quote was rediculous, especially considering LP was already available in the utility room.

So that heats your domestic hot water and is hooked up to your radiant heat system the outdoor wood burner used to run I take it. Do you have radiant heating in the floor or heat exchanger tha t runs forced air them round the house?

It heats the domestic hot water in floor heat in basement and garage and my heat exchanger in my air handler for the forced air upstairs.

I thought it would have been worse it’s the first cleaning since I put it in years ago. The vinegar is getting darker I can’t see the bottom of the bucket now but I can see the bottom of the pump that’s my next indication it’s still working I’ll give it another hour then check it again. I’ll save the 3.5 gallons of vinegar for the next time or for cleaning some traps with it not wasting it.

My old water heaters always had a lot of calcium in the bottom of the tanks looked like milk but nothing like that with the tankless heater.
