Simmer a pot of water on the stove...to put some humidity

In the air. Feels real good !!

My wood stoves I had in the past always had a pot of water on the stove very comfortable that way.

Grew up with a big old antique wood stove in our kitchen that we heated the house with alot. A old Folgers coffee can full of water was our humidifier on top of that stove. Saw some morons on a new house build Facebook page yesterday saying you need to run dehumidifiers during the Winter so that you don't get that little bit of condensation on the inside of your windows when it is bitterly cold out!

Another important thing to do with a storm moving in.......

Make sure you're around people you like in case you get stranded with them! cool

There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

Now throw in some tators, carrots, corn, venison stew meat, seasoning, etc, etc. No sense wasting that water.

My mom had a big kettle on the wood stove for humidity and hot water for dishes. She would also put orange peels on the stove, nice smell.
