Another man in his 50s has left at his own hand. Maybe because I’m paying attention now but it seems this is happening more and more. Has it always?

Depression/ mental illness has always plagued humankind. Even experts are sometimes taken by surprise.

Happens all the time, you just don't hear about it generally.... Lots of reasons for it, but still a shame that they feel it's their only option...

The only ones that make any sense at all to me are the terminally ill ones.

I'll bet % wise it's not changed much, but with larger populations and better media coverage (they love to report bad news), you're bound to here about it more often, plus if I recall correctly, this time of year is prime time for that type thing.
