Vanguard S&P 500 ETF ticker VOO is what I thought.

.03% expense ratio. Its a popular S&P index fund if that is what your looking for.

I prefer VTI for exposure to small and mid cap. But VOO is also good. Pick one and stick with it.

I dont have it but only because my s andp index funds are in my roth 401 through fedility and the work plan has limited fedility options. If I were looking for an s& p 500 fund I would look at voo and the others. They have slight difference in how they are waited and expenses ratios. Personal I would go with what has the lowest expense ratio out of the several S&P index funds. Buffet said most investors should just buy the s and p and hold it for decades. Very few can beat the index long term and most under preform it going from my research.

Can't go wrong with voo and spy if your intentions are to track the S&P

I use FXAIX, but they're essentially the same. Set it and forget it.

Sound and simple with good returns. DYI, no help needed. Great if you want to put it away and forget about it.

If you’re looking for more, stock picking the market is an interesting animal. By more I mean, more work, more risk more reward and more fun.

VOO has be 10% plus for the last 10 years. It follows the SP500. Warren Buffet said buy SP500 and forget about it.

Note that VOO is an ETF that is already diversified...

Its 1 year is 15% and its 5Y is 87%...

I may be more comfortable with it b/c I have 15-20 years of growth left for it to make up for itself.
