Sure would be a lot less bad behavior with more immediate and painful consequences. If the teacher keeps his job i dont think any more bs will take place in his classroom.

I was a shop teacher for 30 years. We used to joke that, on the first day of school, we should hire a young looking actor. In the first 15 minutes of the first day of school have him mouth off. Then I would slap the daylights out of him and drag him out of class. It would change the whole vibe in the class.

Taught for 30 years. Never had behavior problems. Dealt with expectations day one then reputation precedes you year to year. Follow through is key.
