I set one but it is rarely needed

For example I have one set for 0415 but I was awake and up at 0355

Maybe once or twice a month I hear it. Usually up 30 min before. Either for bathroom, just awake or the hustle and bustle of a house with a working wife and kid getting ready for school.

Not anymore, when I did I'd lay awake waiting for it to go off...

Never had to when I was working and we had the farm. 4;30 every morning. Get up, go do check the cattle, get a cup of coffee then off to work. Never had to after retiring but here lately I've been setting one for 5;00. Usually my eyes are open just waiting for it to go off. At my age if I sleep all night I consider it a win.

I have it set for 05:00

often I am up a couple minutes before 5

I also have
a 06:30 alarm time to be done at the gym. when my wife was alive this was coffee o clock make sure I had the coffee going so it was ready she started work at 7:30
a 07:35 alarm time to go to work
a 13:00 alarm time to take lunch
a 16:30 alarm time to wrap up work

I get busy doing stuff and lose track of time easily

Haven't set a alarm for 20 years, up between 4:30-5:00 and if you would have told me that 30 years ago I would have said you're crazy. Even mornings when I am meeting
someone to hunt or fish and have to be on time I don't set an alarm.

I do set an alarm, but my dog gets me up at 5am every morning anyway. But during the peak of coyote trapping I set my alarm for earlier.

When I was a younger man, I used an alarm. Now that I am more mature my alarm goes off 2-3x a night. So I guess I really don't need one now.

There's surgeries for that

I sleep better when I do not set an alarm. When I set one, I always wake up too early, fearing that I've set the alarm incorrectly, then I cannot go back to sleep.

for any of you that are up to pee more than once a night , you might want to get your blood sugar checked.

Before I retired I’d have 3 set if I laid down in the evening do to working mids for over 35 years. Was late 3 times ever and not from over sleep always traffic from a accident
