Ok so has anyone. Ever rerouted you mail to another address. I've been having issues with my local post office, no one there seems to know anything when I ask , I'm trying to be nice but I'm just frustrated and now my mail has just completely been stopped getting delivered, even though they still drive by my box every dang day,I've tried to do the rerouting where any set for my address goes to another one but it's been like three months and I'm still getting mail returned to sender apparently , anyone lse ever don't this and is it always this big of a pain ?

Wish I could help. I walked in and asked if I could put in a forwarding address & she said not a problem. Took bout 5 mins.
U'd think they'd all be trained the same..

Yeah first time I did that I got rejected because they though one of my 4's was a 9
Second time was because the lady don't see my ID....they never asked for it
Third time was apparently good but my mother in law got the cards she sent us for Christmas returns so idk . I have a strong feeling it's some kinda grude related thing due to some stuff that happened with them and my dad but holy crap I just want my little bit of mail . I don't get why they drive right up to my box everyday if I'm not getting anything

Get ahold of the postmaster there and get an explanation, don't talk to the clerk.

Buddy I tired, idk was like trying to get a hold of the wizard of oz ! Also seem most of the folks in leadership of that town have attitude problems have a feeling it would probably be worse.

But was finally able to get the old man on the horn and he told me my mail finally started coming to his place last week ... Only took about four friggen months but

I own multiple properties and needed to consolidate my mail at one address. Filled out the form and boom, most of my mail went to my wife’s house. Ultimately, I needed to do a change of address with my various companies I work with. Stopped mail altogether going to the property.

Downfall of that is if I order anything like from Amazon, it won’t get delivered there and won’t be forwarded. Return to sender as undeliverable

Really ? So is that because it's a package or because it's not going thought the post office? Because I just ordered something and sent it to my old address by accident I see of where I usually send my packages . It's being mailed by USPS so .....

Yea, it takes weeks if not months to start catching up to you, and a lot of it seems to be missing. Then it takes nearly as long to get it switched back. Just put your mail on hold. They say they will only hold it 30 days, but they will go much longer than that, especially if you are in a small town and you talke to them about it.

If it's for areally long time that might make sense, there is a box on the forward mail form that you check if it is a permanent or temporary change.

Not all mail is forwarded. Depending on mail class and service requested by sender . Some is returned with address correction. Some is returned to sender with a do not forward request. Bulk mail / 3rd Class is discarded. Magazines , Newspapers you need to change address at shipper ! Some mail reads or box holder so current occupants receive it whether they want it or not.

The post office has a day of reckoning coming our federal representatives are doing a review of why the service sucks with ridiculous delivery times it goes everywhere but where it should be going to. Not that anything will change. LOL
