I got tired of looking for my keys so I just leave them in the truck. I forgot how many times I've left my walking stick in the truck. Me and my phone don't get along to good either.

This is just the first step of aging out.
The second step needs to be for you to incorporate denial of such things as they happen.
What's the big deal anyway? You found your socks didn't you? All by yourself right?
It's just like me stating that I have never been lost. I'm here aren't I? No one had to come rescue me.
Sure, I have wandered around aimlessly for a couple of days, but lost? Nope.

My uncle can’t remember if he’s put his teeth in or not.

My cousin did this when on the phone with me. Was looking everywhere for something . Went in the house grages out to the truck 2 times. Finally I asked him wat he was looking for. He said my phone i cant find it anywhere. I snickered and ask him well what are you talking to me on! We both got a good laugh.

A few months ago I was geting frantic searching for my bill fold geting ready to leave. Looked everywhere multiple times. Search ended when I realized I was caring it in my left hand the entire time.


Probably 15 years ago my wife opened the pantry and got a shoked confused look on her face. Then asked me why the milk was in the pantry. When she put it in the fridge she saw the cereal was in the fridge.


I think it happens to all of us.

Never had a sock brain freeze..... yet. But do it all the time with my reading glasses. I can't ever find a pair when I need them when I am at home around the cabin. But when I find a pair and go to push them on... I already have a pair pushed up on the top of my forehead. Or at work I am looking where I left my glasses and some young buck will kinda chuckle and say "they are on your head !!
