Yahoo news has put out an article on how PRESIDENT TRUMP is anti 2A due to the Pretti incident. The argument is Pretty was legally carrying a licensed firearm.

1. I can't believe the left is now pro 2A.
2. If he did not inform LE he was legally carrying concealed, which he didn't, then he was not legally carrying the gun after LE interaction. Every state with CC requires this to the best of my knowledge.

He was no choir boy. He was there to cause chaos and instigate. While doing so he had LE interaction, kicking out a tail light and spitting on the officers (assault). If you are gonna get a CC you have to follow the rules set aside. Just like a drivers license.

The dude was a menace and was no saint. But lots of people will not look at the facts at hand and cry 2A. He was trained and licensed to carry. He chose not to follow his training. He paid the price.

Technically, you are correct. MN CC states you must confirm or deny upon request by a peace officer. That be the case, the CBP agents should have asked. Either way he was in a violent protest carrying a pistol to rebel against LE that was trying to get illegal aliens out of the country. Extra stupid.

If I were in a situation like that (which I wouldn't) I would definitely tell LE I was armed so they would see me as the good guy on their team. Helps prevent getting shot.

If you get technical constitutionally with the 1A and 2A, he was not. That is not my opinion, that's the constitution.

1A- We have the right to PEACEABLY assemble and redress grievances. This event was not peaceful, therefore unconstitutional. A violation of the law established by our founders.

2A- The Heller 2A case provides an individual right to keep and bear arms for lawful purposes. He was in a violent protest with one purpose. Chaos. He spit on LE which is assault. Everything he was doing did not have lawful purpose. He was not legally carrying.

I just want all of us to have an intelligent and non emotional argument when confronted by either 2A Zealots who hear nothing but legal carry not matter what or antis who say no one should be carrying.

Lawful 2A carriers cannot be associated with hoodlums and paid violent protestors. It will dramatically damage the 2A causes.

Anything I hear on the so called liberal news outlets, I suspect it is either half true or not true. How can anybody form an opinion when it is constantly biased lies toward Conservatives and/or the real truth.

The news just stirs emotions, keeps the hate and separation alive. I know bits and pieces of things but not much more. I hear more stuff here on t-man than from tv. Personally, I don't care. I'm just trying to live my life.

The review process I guess will determine the fate of the officers involved. I sure wouldn't be comfortable if I were in their shoes.

The pistol he was carrying cost Sig 11 million dollars in a lawsuit for misfire from a holster into a guys leg. The gun was known for misfires and going off randomly. It's a decent defense for them but not lawyer proof.
