I struggle seeing how this is legal.
If it is legal, why is it illegal for a Citizen to harbor a fugitive?
It also seems like it goes against Federal laws or the Feds wouldn't have the right to go anywhere to arrest them. Why not push it?
There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

Lawless is the new rage ICE has been doing that job for over 100 years I witnessed a raid in Chicago 50 years ago not much different than today so what changed is the way it’s being sold by the MSM everything is pure propaganda now. If they made a bingo card of the agendas being pushed at every turn today you would have a bingo every 5 minutes of watching about anything on the main outlets.

Yeah, I get WHY there's protests when ICE has done this before, that's not exactly what I'm asking......how are sanctuary cities/states legal?

Sanctuary cities mean the city will not enforce immigration laws or cooperate with the federal govt on immigration.
Courts have ruled that immigration falls fully under the federal govt and the federal govt is fully responsible for enforcement or lack of.

Pot wasn’t legal and how did that go for years, to this day banks won’t deal with the dispensary crowd because it’s illegal or was under federal law, sorry bud lawless kind of covers it. No matter what’s done to them what will the courts do to stop it nothing.

Impeding Federal law enforcement doing their duty is a crime that’s being ignored by the legal system today encouraging insurrection was a big deal several years ago but not today.

However you slice it, the majority of people who live in sanctuary states or cities overwhelmingly approve of it. In some way isn't that how politics is supposed to work? Majority rules?

The city itself is not impeding, they're just not stopping civilians from impeding. If the city tried to actually stop the feds it would then be illegal. The city has no obligation to assist the feds.

No, or the civil war wouldn't have happened. That narrow interpretation would just be about the USA. I was referring to democracies in general and how we decide how we want to live.

Not stopping them heck it’s encouraging the action that can’t be legal.

However you slice it, the majority of people who live in sanctuary states or cities overwhelmingly approve of it. In some way isn't that how politics is supposed to work? Majority rules? They approve of it because they want them on their voter rolls so their side stays in power. If the Republicans said hey we will give every illegal immigrant $1,000 if you vote for us in the next election how fast do you think the left would change their opinion on ilegal immigrants? As far as ignoring federal law and taking the majority rules stance, I guess the same would apply if those outside the city, you know, us country folk, said we're fed up with it and declared civil war on the left and ran them all out of town. Majority rules right? Ol dad

and when it's no longer "peaceful" ? Then they stand around and refuse to enforce state and city laws, leaving the feds to try and enforce federal laws if they choose
