Deer stops and swivels required. Go to the FWC website and search trapping regulations to see what has been proposed for change . Hope this helps.

As a Florida trapper...what is your opinion on all this?

Ol Dave Enfinger must be smiling down from above. He labored for decade's for trappers down there.

Swamp, I left a bunch of comments awhile back when it was open for comments. Here were the things I found issues with:

1) No foothold traps with a jaw spread over 5.75" including those set in the water for beaver
2) All footholds must have offset or rubber jaws
3) No drowning sets allowed
4) Traps or Snares cannot be set within 300 feet of a road
5) Prohibits snare entanglement/kill poles

Did this stuff make it into the regulations or was it amended to be more realistic?
