Who all on T-man has been a fan of Creedence Clearwater Revival? Nothing can take me back in time 55 years as fast as listening to some CCR. All the memories both good and bad.
Next question would be what's your favorite songs by CCR? Mine would be these, not necessarily in order. Lodi Who'll Stop the Rain Running through the Jungle Born on the Bayou Up around the Bend Fortunate Son Green river
I love some CCR myself. Born on the Bayou and Down on the Corner are probably some of my favorites but I could just about listen to every song and not want to change the station.
1973/74 . . . Korat Air Base, Thailand . . . we'd take a bus down to Pattaya Beach and party all the way down, while there, and all the way back. Couple of times we rode on top those buses you see in the movies with the rail around the top they'd strap in luggage. Four of us would climb up on top, tie ourselves down, crank CCR on the boom box, and drink beer whilst flying down the road. #1 GIs we were . . . keep on chooglin'!!!
Great band, back in the day I had all their albums on 8 track in my GTO and later in my Gran Torino Sport. Someday Never Comes and Graveyard Train are two of the better ones not often heard.
Reading this thread I just looked over at my 14 year old daughter and asked if she knew who CCR is. She rattled off 5 or 6 songs without thinking about it. They still have some appeal, I guess!
