If I was in TN, like your profile shows, I would get it to Nottingham Taxidermy in Bono, AR.

If i was going to drop that much coin on a mpunt, I'd want to see multiple examples in person before I made a deposit. I'm finding that the more I look at mounts, I'm more critical than most seem to be, or folks are just being nice when they say "oh that mount looks great!" I've been considering getting a perch mounted and have seen some pictures that of some that looked like they were painted by a high schooler. And I've seen some that look like they just came out of the water. I guess at the end of the day it's the person that pays for it that has to be happy with it, and like you, I've seen plenty of cat and canine mounts that look terrible based on the face alone.

Good luck in your search!

Amy is the ticket, she only does bobcats as a rule, she will take other animals if she has the time, but she limits out on cats early every year !

She does more than bobcats, and appears to be in the superb category for cats period.

You can Google her website and watch any of her videos.

Amy is also good with most any furbearer or small mammals. She has done some incredible otter scenes. A true artist!

I would put her in the same class with Sharon. She just deals with a different medium but every bit as good with the details.

Trophies Unlimited Taxidermy in Wyoming is who I recommend for all cat mounts. Never seen Amy's stuff in person, of those I've seen in person there are only two taxidermists I have been reliably impressed with every cat mount of theirs I've seen, and the other one is retired.

Amy is pretty good and reasonably priced. Phil Soucy is in a class by himself. https://dolphin-grape-9s4y.squarespace.com/small-cats

White Marlin,
No the other guy was Alden Taxidermy over on the coast of Washington. Not even sure if he is still alive, the business may still be around, I'm not sure, but I know the old man is no longer doing it. thirty years ago when I was a young he was priced as high as most taxidermists today, but his stuff was in a class by itself. About that time he got in some trouble with the Game Department and lost his license for a while, but his wife got her license and he continued to work under her license.

Lazarus,
I forgot about Phil Soucy, he is pretty dang good also.
