This one is holding some water. Dam is on left edge of pic. I'm standing on the dam.

Have captured 5 beavs past few days from an upstream pond on east edge of this big pond.

What sets are you using for this job. Looks like quite a few are in there.

That does look like aa big pond alright. I'm thinking that you better get after those beavers before the snakes wake up.

750s at dam breaks. Best catch location on the dam is center near the main channel. Usually a crossover there too.

I set this one with two breaks and one lured mound set...all within 30 feet of the center. Couldn't use trays here as the dam is packed sand and couldnt push tray legs into the hard sand bottom. But, this made traps easy to bed solid by scooping out a trap bed for the 750s. Made three sets (two breaks with two 750s each on 9ft rods and a single 750 at the mound. Just set this today.

I'm on the lookout as afternoon temps are 75° +. I'm in there early to take advantage of coolest part of day. 75° is optimum snake air temp. Water temp is still a little cool as few turtles are active.....that's a clue.

2 down...caught bigger beaver (sow female) at one of the breaks. Caught the smaller beaver (adult male) at the lured mound.
