Col. Sanders as you called him made jelly out of the blooms, tasted like plum jelly. Goats and everything else love that stuff so no surprise cattle will eat it too.

Almost impossible to eradicate 100’ tap root and can grow more than 3’ a day in prime conditions.

Very high protein in leaves and vine tips.

Some of the biggest deer killed in Georgia every season comes from Atlanta area suburbs and they grow large foraging all summer on the kudzo up there.

I looked it up since I had no clue what it was and it said zone 5 and up. I don't think it will make, it here since I will hit -18 tonight. And since you are the next state east I don't think it will grow there.

We got nine month growing seasons down here. Now imagine vines that can grow three foot per day for 270 days.

And kudzu ain't the only vine or plant we contend with. Wisteria, english ivy, privet, bradford pear, running bamboo, are all weeds that I have to keep beat off my small half acre. Heck, even our "beloved" crepe myrtles are a pest in my book.
