Silver has taken a beating. I wonder how much of that is based on President Trump's decision to start taking contracts for mining of necessary valuable materials on public land?
Keith Not one single cent. It takes years to develop a silver mine. This beat down is due to a few things. Firstly nothing goes up in a straight line. I expected a 20.tk.25.pervent minimum pull back. We got a bit more. Even at 70 dollars silver is still in uncharted territory. The dollar has gained some of its value back and a big chunk is flat out manipulation allowing some major banks to unload shorts without going broke. The fundamentals that got us here are still in play. Gold is holding up nicely. The GSR is at 65 today. It was 46 a week ago. SP, is MSTR going to be able to withstand that beat down?

There is physical silver in most households across, Canada, the U.S. and Europe. At these prices, much of it will be available. AI says there is less than 1 present own 100 oz or more of silver. a poll avg American have 5- 20 oz
50 + years of trapping & some fur buying and i still know nothing.

AI says there is less than 1 present own 100 oz or more of silver. a poll avg American have 5- 20 oz I think this question was geared to investment silver. I believe most americans probably own some precious metal jewelry, and or artifacts (silver ware), if not coins. "The survey asked 1,500 Americans the following question: Do you own any gold or silver (bullion coins/bars)? I don't own either. I own both gold and silver. I own some silver. No gold though. I own some gold. No silver though." Source: Gold IRA Guide

MIGHT be going higher. MIGHT not. Big industrial demand. Some say more being used than being mined. Debt is huge and growing exponentially. Many claim its a bubble. Going to correct to a lower price. If you like going to the casino, well place your bet.

My wife could of quadrupled her investment but fails to come up with a plan of when to sell it dives me crazy. Do you remind her of Investing 101: Bulls make money, Bears make money, Hogs get slaughtered. Doesn’t matter if it was bought, inherited, etc.

If the value is measured in dollars, the value will increase. Simply because the dollar purchasing power continues to decrease. I’d say that over time gold/silver is just a form of wealth (purchasing power) storage. Use as is, or convert into another usable form as needed.

There was a nice dip at the beginning of the Chinese new year. But, momentum is going up and silver is holding its own now. You would think comac and J.P. Morgan would have driven prices down while the china trade is out but they have not been able to. That tells me silver is on solid ground.
