Good for you guys, we just got our first snow storm on the west coast of Ak. Which is typical this time of year. Spring is around the corner for us. A few brown bears came out down on kodiak island the other day.

minus 24 this morning and forecast to be minus 27 tomorrow.

You can keep your spring.....I don't want it.

Where? Snowed all day today and back to deep freeze next week.

That's for sure, Dave. We had nearly a foot of snow here and lots of drifting. At least now it will be a while before I can whine about mowing.

mayhaws blooming here, red oaks, water oaks, sweetgums, elm and some other tree i dont recognize are have started putting on their foliage. crazy as all get out. yellow jasmine honeysuckle has flowered also. breaking out the camera tomorrow as I saw a large group of red tail hawks in a tornado glide today. Coopers hawks showed up.

-5 this morning. 3 inches of snow. -11 tomorrow morning.

-12 this morning and says -7 for tonight's low. I am 6-8 degrees colder then what they say most days. So not really spring here. When it warms up into the 20's for highs I will move some snow so I am ready for the melt.
I have caught snapping turtles going into bank beaver holes through the ice between Christmas and New Years, here in ND. I caught two in one day with about eight traps out. I figured they go in the bank holes to get air once in a while. So I am not sure if a turtle is a good judge of spring.

-9 here this morning. Spose to be bout -15 tomorrow morning high of 22. Got 7 inches day before yesterday & 2 yesterday. Looks like more come Sunday.

Mourning doves are already setting around here. Suppose to be 35 tonight. They don’t build much of a nest.

70 degrees here at daylight. front coming through tonight without any rain, and we need the moisture. supposed to be 36 in the morning with a high of 62. By this coming Wednesday will be low 80's again.

Our spring is showing up with 20" of snow tomorrow, 60 mph winds and coastal flooding......
