All of a sudden it blew up with Epstein crap. Why? I'm tired of it.

I don't get any Epstein stuff in my YouTube feed at all. It shows you what it thinks you are interested in, based on what you have previously expressed interest in.

Yes and no. I watch mostly fishing, hunting, trapping, and motorcycle stuff. Joe Rogan from time to time. Never searched Epstein.

I can’t prove it but I’m 99.9% sure my phone is listening because my YouTube will suggest crap from conversations with coworkers. Not over the phone conversations but person to person. I think I have all my security and microphone settings locked down but I must not. It’s stupidly eerie. Need to dump these “smart” phones

You don't have to search something for YouTube, Facebook or others to decide you are interested in it and to show it to you. They use very sophisticated AI to determine exactly what they think will keep you on their site, so that they can make ad revenue off of you. Just slowing down slightly, as you scroll past videos, registers with them.

If you delete their cookies and don't sign in, you can change what you see.

With the advancements in AI, it's going to get progressively harder for people to stop scrolling on sites like YouTube, Facebook, X and TicTok.

Algorithims guided your thought process earlier,..AI took that ten fold,..we really are looking at two years where the populas
will no longer foster opinions but will be servant to the digital process that will ultimatly sway your opinons.

Of course your phone listens to you, even when it is in your pocket.
About four years ago I was helping a friend install a set of stacked clothes washer and drier. I think I mentioned how space saving they were. Within 30 minutes I had an advertisement pop-up on my phone for stacked Maytag washers and driers. That was not coincidence.

Nothing showed in my u tube but wood working(making dove tail joints) gun related stuff( 1911s lately) and investing (related stuff)

waggler is right. I know smart phones listen to conversations as the same thing has happened to me. Talk about going to the Caribbean on vacation and you'll get vacation ads pop up. Same with other stuff.

As far as you tube goes I have yet to see any Epstein crap but I also don't look at stuff like that. My feed is mostly liberals getting owned by conservatives, Royalty auto repair and other auto repair stuff, hunting, fishing, trapping etc. Golden retriever videos or dog/cat videos. Evidently not near the excitement you watch.

You can pick out stuff to watch but there is always clickbait showing up If I listen to Paul kype and the texas flood i'll get maybe 3 songs and then other scatt shows up used to be if you watched/listened to bluegrass rolling stones whatever all yt suggestions were about that genre Not anymore

About the only time I'm on YouTube is using it to host a video of mine (rather rare) and when I need to fix a vehicle and need a how-to video.

I don't talk about the issue so my phone doesn't hear it. I don't search it. I thought something broke in the news and that's why it was all over the place. Today there isn't much on it. Strange.
