On Sunday I saw three cheetah and a leopard in Tanzania. Today I watched a pride of five female lions stalk a herd of Cape buffalo. They gave up when the odds didn’t appear in their favor. Too many adult buffalo.

Pictures when I return home in a week.

That sounds like fun. Are there elephants in that area?

My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

Cool! Are you packing a rifle or a camera?
I got an offer to head out to Africa last week to take a Cape Buffalo. <44" for $12000 & >44" for $15000......... That's just the hunt and accommodations.

Wind Blew, crap flew, out came the line crew

That is not that bad of a price - especially if not in South Africa. 44” is a big buffalo. 38” aint bad

Camera hunting in two national parks in East Africa. Animals I am seeing are very tame. We drive a Land Cruiser within a few feet of lions. Buffalo can be approached by vehicle to about 50 yards. Elephants can about be touched from the car window. Leopards are sometimes within 50 yards, while resting in a tree. Cheetah are rare but rather tame. It wouldn’t be any challenge or fun to take Africa big five in one day. Off the reserve is probably harder.
