Solid color cats would bring $ 5.00 in the late 1960's maybe 1971.
Had a case of loose pets were against the law in a certain village.
Caught one , the owner called the law.
She was cited for a loose pet!
The chief of police informed me the charges were dropped , because the county prosecutor was a cat lover.
City people have no concept of real life and the harm, a feral cat can cause.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again.
City people are the problem in this world!
They cause more and more laws because all they do is go on feelings, not reality .

Feral cats get hit on the road a lot here.......I mean it is not unusual to see one laying in the road. Odd thing is an no one ever slows down to look them over.....dangerous road I live on.

Interesting, I released several cats on the nest raider job, and told the farmers about it…and I was told to quit releasing them, lol.

I blame the animal rights organizations for the demise of many species of wildlife.
They don't care about animals, they only care about how much money they can make off of bleeding hearts!
It's not just cats , it's all animals that they can make look like they're suffering!
I can't stand those idiot commercials of those poor cat's and dogs .

Sure there are uncaring people out there, but not as many as ASPCA and others keep shoving down bleeding hearts throats !

It's almost the perfect self perpetuating scam. They've created the whole no-kill fiasco that feeds the hoarding and eventual suffering of the animals which leads to more pleas for money.

I've long believed that if folks could be shown that the inevitable overpopulation suffering is a direct result of no-kill hoarding we might get back some of our ability to to manage it as it should be done.

Our county in Ohio which has the Goddard law , now has 4 cat rescues for cats.
If you have a feral cat problem , catch them and take them to one of them.
Problem is all of them are over full.
They got a law passed to stop euthanasia , so the dog pound is also catch and house forever!
To top it off those cat houses got the county to use dog license money to help house the cats!
And we wonder why those idiots are fighting ICE!
I've tried to get a movement going to license all cats the same as dogs!
But here we go with just another law that the idiots won't follow!

I agree that feral cats are a problem, but I always get a kick out of stuff like this. How do they know cats killed 480 million birds? How do they know cats caused the extinction of 33 species?
All kinds of causes, both good and bad, pull numbers out of thin air and people just believe it.

The name ,American Sable I believe was for marketing skunk fur. I have talked to a few old timers that said they have seen feral house cat hides for sale.

Back in the late 1960's till the fur boom in the 80's my local fur buyer bought feral cats - claimed they were used as an attraction for western coyote sets. Feral cats get "no quarter" from me.

This guy might just have a plan that would help ..........
