Anyone have one or know anything about them? I've got an old one that I think has a 2 9/16 inch chamber. Would like to load up some shells and shoot it a little bit.

You can buy 2 1/2 and 2 9/16 inch 16 gauge shells.

I have nothing clever to put here.

It’s a shame that the 3inch 20 gauge put the 16 gauge close to out of popularity. I really liked my sweet 16 browning that I got from my grandfather when he had to stop quail hunting around St James Mo. used it for everything including Canada geese at swan lake in the early 70s. When the area wintered 200 thousand EPP geese. Hurt me bad when it got stole in 1975 by a ….. also did not help when skeet was only rated for 12 20 28 and 410. Nice gauge. Never heard of Crescent arms but still like the 16 g

I can't help with your question. I have a 16 gauge model 12 Winchester. I have owned it ~48 years and never have shot it. Maybe someday I need to take it pheasant hunting.

I have an old ranger double in 16g. I think it was made by Steven's for years or something like that. I really enjoy it. Was my first double. Paid $225. Shot dove, rabbit, quail, and 2 mallard with it. Have not had it out in years. Its been an affordable and enjoyable purchase.

If the price is right I think you will enjoy it. I found this with a quck search didn't check anywhere else to see if it was accurate. Typically I look for multiple sources but its time for bed.

Crescent Fire Arms Company of Norwich, CT (1892 to 1930+) was the largest maker ever of inexpensive "Trade Brand Name" shotguns ever, making over 2.500,000 shotguns using over 1,200 known names. The company was owned by the H & D Folsom Company, a very large wholesale sporting goods dealer. a retailer and jobber located in New York City fro, 1893 to 1930.They sold the company to Savage Arms Company who continued making Crescent branded guns until the late 1930s

Thanks everyone.

160, do you know who is making the 2 1/2 inchers, or where to get them? All I've seen are 2 3/4 inch.

Don’t know about that one, but I love my Belgium made Browning Sweet 16.

I have 4 shotguns in 16 Ga. 1 of them is a model 311. I think it's a Steven's or a Savage. SXS Full and Mod choke. It's at least 60 years old and has had thousands of miles behind it. Rabbits, pheasants, quail and squirrels. Nothing fancy but it was my first real shotgun. Like most of you, there's a lot of memories behind that old gun.

Look up RST ammo. They load a variety of options that'll work for you.
