Following is a list of gun control legislation introduced into the Minnesota House and Senate in the last few days. It is worth noting that ALL of these bill's sponsors and cosponsors are Democrats. Not a single Republican has signed on to any of these bills. Kind of pokes a hole in the argument that Democrats don't want to take your guns, or that Democrats respect the Second Amendment.

There are 6 active bills on this right now. Here are the bills and their lead authors.
House Bills (in Public Safety Finance and Policy):
• HF 3434 — Bans possession of semiautomatic military-style assault weapons + large-capacity magazines, with criminal penalties. 35 authors, led by Rep. Greenman, Stephenson, Moller
• HF 3433 — Same as above but weapons only (no magazine restriction). Same 35 authors — Greenman, Stephenson, Moller, etc.
• HF 2449 — Bans sale/transfer only (not possession), includes a state-funded buyback program. 24 authors, led by Rep. Finke, Hollins
Senate Bills (in Judiciary and Public Safety as of 2/19):
• SF 3681 — Full ban + criminal penalties (companion to HF 3434). Sole author: Sen. Mohamed
• SF 3655 — Possession ban on weapons + magazines. 5 authors: Sen. Mohamed, Latz, Clark, Marty, Oumou Verbeten
• SF 3654 — Possession ban, weapons only. 5 authors: Sen. Mohamed, Mann, Marty, Maye Quade, Oumou Verbeten

Start reading these bills and see what the heck they want, s111 like this is not going to just go away people doors are let open to more than just AR type guns.

They got to know these proposed laws violate the 2nd amendment and the Supreme Court has held up the rights to own these things, kind of makes me wonder if they are trying to makes these laws hoping they get to the Supreme Court again when they think they will have the right justices in place to rule in their favor....??? The left is pretty good about playing the long game. Just food for thought.

I wonder if there's any connection between these bills, their sponsors, and any of the fraud investigations.



Surely Walz would veto any of these if passed since he's such a big outdoorsman.

I read on the news that in a poll that 70% of all that live in Mn. support this type of ban I really call this a line of @#$ I never got in on any type of poll. Sounds like its just a big city poll as usual.I think these all have full DFL backing.

If this ban goes through, it should only be for the Twin Cities. They have almost as many shootings as Chicago.

Tampon put out his own 15 point plan, it was posted on a local news show so small you needed to magnify it ta read it then hard the nerve to be on tv saying nothing being proposed infringes on our 2nd A. gun rights another lie and he will keep fighting for bans.

They don't care if these hold up in court, they are just performing for their base that loves this stuff. When they get beat down in court they can simply blame Conservative justices, which gains them even more points with the liberal base, which gets them reelected.

They should be docked pay for wasting time on things they know or should know, will not hold up in court. If they were fined for bringing up stuff that will not hold up, they may not be so fast too. It is just more waste which there seems to be plenty of.

We'd be asking the legislature to legislate themselves, Uncle. Can't have that.
