This was hung up in a wad of grass and briars on the edge of a creek I'm trapping. All I can figure is somebody was flying down the creek and hit a tree limb.

This is probably worth more than the 2 or 3 beaver that live here

Thought those had GPS in them, so you could know where they were.

Well that drone is too far south for the one my grandson lost.
They have a "home" function but that makes no difference in very high winds.

I went door knocking and found the owner. Figured it was the right thing to do returning it to whomever lost it.

It worked out, I've got a lot easier access to that stretch of creek through his property now. He can also fly it and provide updates on the beaver

Well, returning the drone panned out. Went 3 for 3 on beaver in that creek today

I found a drone about ten years ago while checking traps. On top of the sidehill above the Allegheny River. Gave it to my son, he looked at the SD card, and figured out where it took off from….a camp down along the river. They were filming the fall leaves. I took it back to that camp, no one around. The owner called me a couple weeks later, very great full to get it back. He sent my son a couple of gift cards.
