Public schools come to mind. I agree, animal cruelty taught to young minds without the teaching of stewardship is lop sided. Or when there is a mass shooting and before the smoke clears its taught guns are bad, with no emphasis on individual responsibility, but rather punish the entire population.

This thread should be titled "Deep thoughts by Jack Handey". We could do a "lower expectations" thread too. Bahaha. Back when SNL was still funny.

Whoever has has the most ordinance in numbers (power) is the conscience....If that's not your conscience, you fight until you win or die against any odds, because you wouldn't really want to live any other way.
Or, you suck it up & be their slave....Question really is, what are you made of?

People in the past spoke with their wallets but today any kind of sacrifice is not in the cards for many folks don’t have the commitment to anything but themselves just a fact.
Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

IMO, corporate conscience is a made up concept. A corporation is made up of individuals, and can have no conscience separate from the individuals that run it. The only responsibility a corporation should have is generating money for its shareholders. Why should someone that has nothing invested into a company have any say whatsoever in how that company is ran? If you go to work every day, should your neighbor, who has nothing to do with your work, have the right to tell you how the money you make at your job should be spent?
Concepts such as social responsibility or ESG when applied result in nothing more than shareholder theft. A company's only moral obligation is to produce a product that generates a profit for the individuals of which the company consists of. If other individuals do not like the way that that company chooses to generate profits, they are absolutely free to not purchase the products produced.
ESG mandates, stakeholder capitalism, social responsibility, etc., are all just forms of collectivism as J Staton mentioned, that prevent a corporation from fulfilling its moral obligation.... shareholder wealth maximization.
Gotta find a way, a better way, I'd better wait
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you

It's Babylonish by nature. There's two corporations or as the good book says, two kingdoms. Satan's kingdoms, and Christ's kingdom. There will always be a division. As Jesus said, Matthew 10: 34- Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: but a sword. ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2026/03/full-49774-286970-20260302_054006_resized.jpg)
