I was just talking with my wife on the way home from breakfast about this.
( boys had a friend over and camped out so took them out for breakfast at i hop)

I figured oil stock will spike and others will crash. Hoping to get some good buying opportunities next week and put the cash in have been building and holding to work. Sitting on my hands has been difficult.

What's everyone watching and buy points they are hoping for. Im watching Asml, tsm, jepq, ko, among others.
Picking the buy points is where I typically struggle. ( need more education)

Stock Market is doing what stock market has done what it has for the lifetime. The gains in the last 10 years has been huge and we have gotten spoiled with gains from the markets. Nothing seems out of sync just doing what it is suppose to. As far as war and the markets it can have many positives to the markets in the future. I see these times as strengthen the markets and look forward to some strong growth ahead.

Positivity and success make the market climb, doubt and darkness are not good for it, this is what I've noticed in my retirement so far !!

Iran unleashes some sort of secret and it takes out some ships, market will crash, if more countries join the attack and help it will move up !

Always seems to be the case, of course being in a mixed market helps out to keep things smooth !!

Just an inexperienced notice of mine, don't use real bad words, ok !!!

I have some exposure in oil and defense stocks that should help offset some of the declines elsewhere. Had this event started on a day when the market was open, I think the panic would be worse. With a couple of days to digest the possible outcomes, I'm not sure we will see a massive selloff. I expect some losses, but I have a little cash I was looking to invest, so maybe tomorrow will be the day?

The initial strikes were overwhelmingly accurate and successful. That will help stabilize things a bit. The Devil will be in how Iran chooses to operate over the next weeks or month. The longer this plays out the more likely things will erode on a slower basis and we will have to wait to see what high energy costs and continued tariffs will impact the US economy. We have been in a real slow job growth mode this last year and if that continues or worsens the general economic outlook will not be as robust as some would have hoped.

It’s a long term deal just like Warren Buffet always said and I don’t like him much but I respect what he says

Check oil charts for the coming year. Prices going up before any of these events happening. Big Oil Company's is the place to buy now even with oil down now it s bound to go up drilling has slowed because of prices. Supply & Demand.

Eventually there comes a time when it makes sense to consider taking the loss and reinvesting that money in something that is working. At least you can write off the capital loss.

Old Wall street saying..........."the first loss is the best loss". IOW....don't wait while it continues to get worse

Our gas prices are up 45 cents since Friday AM. US oil companies will be doing very well. long term not so good for the economy. Will watch S&P a lot more as that will tell me more about what the market is really thinking or planning for.
