I was going to say I didn't see any arrowheads but definitely looks like a place where some knapping took place

You are definitely in the zone to find some

That amount of chips, flakes, hammer stones and other misc. stone artifacts are a sure sign that you have found a seasonal camp. Early people did more than make and lose arrowheads. Looks to be a good spot you have found - enjoy and keep your eyes to the ground.

Any moving water near by ?? WE had one spot on our farm where there was about a 30 foot circle where the ground was black from maybe thousands of fires from years and years gone by. I could still find chips there. TThe river ran about 100 yards from there but just looking at it you could tell at one time it ran a lot closer. The only real arrow heads were at least 75 to 100 yards away and mostly on higher ground. The old guys in town told me that our farm was pretty well picked over. Every 4 years I would deep rip the fields and that's when I would find the most heads. Sort of funny now but when planting I had some real crocked rows of corn or beans because I was watching the ground for them stupid arrow heads instead of trying to drive straight. Good luck and keep us posted.

Found some today. Little piece is the handle end of a drill then 2 broken ones and a whole one. Old coin I found also but cannot read it. That random chip there I thought was cool and would love to find what they made from that color stone.

That’s funny skippy. The field that borders this one I also have permission for and it has produced some nice arrowheads a Celt and multiple drills but it wasn’t plowed this year. Both fields should be corn this year and hopefully they’ll plow then.

You're making some great finds. The upper middle one is a hafted scraper. I need to get out looking. It's the best time of year to check the camp site in the woods by my back barn. I think the barn is built on top of it because I've found around 140 tools on 3 sides of it. Mostly just food preparation tools for making pemmican including mortars, pestles, nut crackers and scrapers. I rarely find anything fancy, but I try anyway.

My youngest brother and Sam Petty can find them with their eyes closed. At Bulletboxes memorial service when the family scattered his ashes, Sam was literally standing on one with the front half of the spear head out past the toe of his boot. I wandered all over that darn hill looking, didnt find booh jack.
