1 quart of 3% hydrogen peroxide, 1/4 cup baking soda, and 1-2 teaspoons of liquid dish soap (Dawn recommended). Mix immediately before use, scrub into the fur (avoiding eyes/ears), let sit for 5-10 minutes, and rinse thoroughly.
Each day is a gift. LIVE IT with gratitude.

What kind of boots? Leather will soak up skunk scent right out of the air. No direct contact required. But the peroxide solution will still help. Rubber boots should descent easily with the peroxide solution.

Cowboy, I was too busy being a smart arse earlier to thoroughly read your post. Your scent killer may help, as when I was about your age I had decent luck using scent away soap. Definitely worth trying if you don't have the peroxide on hand yet. okay thanks

Mix it up and get it on the entire outside surface. It will foam anywhere it contacts the essence. Keep coating the surface until it stops foaming and then rinse well. Odor should be gone.
