Cowboy, you need to look that woman in the eye and firmly explain that you are a man, and men do manly things, including smelling like the critters they kill. If she tries to counter argue, cut her off mid sentence and tell her that she can't control you, or tame your wild spirit. I strongly suggest aggressively using the word "woman" several times. After that conversation, you won't have to worry about how you smell, as you'll be living outside.

Let me know if you need anymore tips, I'm here to help buddy.

What's the problem I kind of like the smell of skunk. I suspect she is afraid of all the girls that will be chasing you.

I should add, if you happen to break a bottle of quill in the house, she'll no longer be able to detect when you walk in smelling like skunk.

1 quart of 3% hydrogen peroxide, 1/4 cup baking soda, and 1-2 teaspoons of liquid dish soap (Dawn recommended). Mix immediately before use, scrub into the fur (avoiding eyes/ears), let sit for 5-10 minutes, and rinse thoroughly.

Each day is a gift. LIVE IT with gratitude.

What kind of boots? Leather will soak up skunk scent right out of the air. No direct contact required. But the peroxide solution will still help. Rubber boots should descent easily with the peroxide solution.

Cowboy, I was too busy being a smart arse earlier to thoroughly read your post. Your scent killer may help, as when I was about your age I had decent luck using scent away soap. Definitely worth trying if you don't have the peroxide on hand yet.

If the scent killer doesn't work..try this..mix equal parts vinegar and water and wipe the boots down with that solution. Something about the Acetic acid is supposed to neutralize the stuff in skunk.

The peroxide solution should knock the odor right off the runner boots. Mix it up and get it on the entire outside surface. It will foam anywhere it contacts the essence. Keep coating the surface until it stops foaming and then rinse well. Odor should be gone.
