Evening,

I am pulling beaver sets tomorrow and it got me thinking…what happened to all the bigger double long spring manufacturers? Sleepy creek is gone, I think bridger makes some bigger traps but aside from them no one really makes anything bigger than #11s.

Lack of demand? Too expensive? I see people looking for them all the time I was just curious if anyone has a clue what happened to all of them.

Coil springs are way more efficient and a lot cheaper to make. Economics

I’d imagine it’s cheaper to make coil springs and most people don’t want to pay new prices for DBLS otherwise sleepy creek would still be pumping out iron. And I get that the sleepy creek #3’s and 4’s weren’t perfect but obviously not enough people bought them

I'm guessing demand wasn't there

There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

Duke 5s have a PIT pan and centered mounted chain. Very good dbls beaver- sized trap....if you like that type trap for beavs.
