Ccl everywhere, 20 years ago it was very limited.
I had ccl when I lived in NYC due to work but there were restrictions.

I would say it is very secure.

What do you say?

Secure for now, but plenty of threat out there that needs to be watched.

It's safe. The lawyers and judges make a lot of money when people have to go to court to prove their innocence if they ever have to use their piece.

It's probably more secure now than it has been.

It's never safe. Get the wrong people in charge and that will be abundantly clear.

I hope it goes through, but doubt it will as long as Whitmer is our Governor. As it stands, Michigan has reciprocity with 40 other states, meaning Michigan residents with a valid CPL can carry in all but 10 states.

Constitutional carry is fine but licensed ccl is a much better option for me.

You shouldn't have to ask the government for permission to carry a weapon.

I don't always agree with you, but I sure do on this.

Good and thank you. It's OK to agree with me. There's only a few issues and one administration that keeps me and some of the members apart.

I'm not going there--everyone stay calm!

We should all agree on the 2A!

The state that I reside in has constitutional carry and also licensed ccl.
Licensed ccl provides the licensee distinct advantages.

Having the intelligence to realize that I need to function within the legal framework provides me distinct advantages. What 'should' be is nice but not part of a rational thought process about how to behave.

Blaine on cut and dry thing like this its easy for people to aree with you. On others you look like your way left. Yet on some of those others its clear to me you are not looking at that issue at current discussion as a singular issue but looking down the road how that will effect us when the system turns. And many here get stuck in singular incident thinking. Some of that is probably difrence in ager and time we all grew up in.

On those you taking a lot of flack and I still agree with you. . Other times I miss it maybe its my singular thinking time or your way out in left field? Those time I may give some flack myself.

At the end of day I prefer to not live in an echo chamber. I prefer my stance to be challenged and questioned and other view that make me look at things in a differently. It reinforced my views or has the effect of making me have to reevaluate them.

Back to the original question no its never safe. Never there are time when the push to steal our right slows and we ever have small victories in the right direction. But look at history and there is a definite trend of loosing rights especially our 2nd that will continue.

The old guys here had guns mailed to their home mo 4473 or background check. Today people grew up with that and its normal no big deal. As the restrictions get normalized with each generation its more restrictive.

Seems to be quite secure for the criminal element in this country.

I must not be intelligent enough to know why I should ask the government for permission to carry a weapon.

What are the advantages of getting permission to kind of exercise your 2A rights?

My state offers many advantages to having a ccl. It is not a 'permission' to carry since as I clearly stated my state has constitutional carry. I imagine your intelligence did not help with your reading comprehension when you read my post though.
