Havent noticed any crows in a good while, I am in northwestern southwest PA. i mentioned it to a few buddies and they say the same. Wondering what its like in your area and the reason for the shortage? Use to be I couldnt go 2 minutes without seeing a bunch and now they are like muskrats, maybe worse.

They seem ok here, same with turkeys, geese and ducks took a hit from bird flu though....maybe that's the cause of your missing crows... if I remember right crows are suseptiple to bird flue...

There's plenty around my house in Western NY. They're all over the roadkill thats exposed because of the recent meltoff

Seeing plenty in SE Va. Passed a green wheat field yesterday that probably had +75 in it.

Plenty here in SW Va also, more recently than I've seen in 10 years. Come get you some.

Similar numbers here now as in the past.

Not many crows around here for a few years now. Use to see endless flocks of them in years past and hear them all day.

I would not complain.

Population of crows has plummeted here. Many bird species are seemingly in population free fall, barn swallows, red wing black birds, hawks.

I haven't seen any crows here yet either. We usually have a small rookery of 5 to 8 nests on the back of my property. The number has been going down the last few years. There's been as many as 40 crows in that murder. The nests are in very thorny honey locust trees. I like crows and will no longer shoot them.

Thats exactly what Im experiencing.

Come to think of it I havent been seeing them either.

Im going to do a 20 mile loop some day this week with the sole purpose of doing bird inventory.

I mentioned a change 3 years ago on here.

One, that jumps out. Carolina Wrens
instead of House Wrens.

Woodpeckers seem fine,
Jays and Cards too.

If a cycle it is a 30 or more yr cycle.

I did this last year. It used to be common for powerlines to be heavy with barn swallows, I remember thousands of birds on the spans. I drove an 80 mile loop last summer and counted 12 birds.

We have almost as many dead deer (more than ever remember) per mile as Dollar Generals. The crows and eagles have it covered.

Few around here once the snow goes off the fields should pick up
