New California is about to pass Old California in stupidity.

Probably thinking they make wet fire breaks to keep the fire from spreading?

They most definitely do. However, the idea is preposterous as those same areas that create wildfire breaks, also can flood surrounding areas and in extreme situations destroy infrastructure. Sometimes those dams bust and the result can be devastating, entire roads can get washed away, I've seen it.

These bans are not about the critter(s). They're all about just eliminating something one group don't agree with.

The people that are proponents of this idiocy don't really give a crap about the beavers.

I still believe that animal rights organizations are the cause of idiot people.
The more people that follow them, the dumber the masses become.

Agreed!! The pet ownership culture is also to blame even if we are ourselves are pet owners. We're living in a world now where like 70% of us have pets in our houses making us more detached from the reality of nature when it comes to animals. When I say we, I am not talking about us on this forum, but North Americans in general.
