They most definitely do. However, the idea is preposterous as those same areas that create wildfire breaks, also can flood surrounding areas and in extreme situations destroy infrastructure. Sometimes those dams bust and the result can be devastating, entire roads can get washed away, I've seen it.

These bans are not about the critter(s). They're all about just eliminating something one group don't agree with.

The people that are proponents of this idiocy don't really give a crap about the beavers.
